Airbus’s order book opened the year with no orders. It recorded zero commercial aircraft orders for January 2019, but delivered 39 aircraft to 27 customers.
The zero orders follows the cancellation of eight A380s by Qantas as well as lost five A220s orders when PrivatAir filed for insolvency at the end of last year.
The month’s deliveries involved 33 single-aisle A320 Family aircraft, along with five A350-900s and one A330 from its widebody product lines.
Airbus’ backlog of aircraft remaining to be delivered as of 31 January stood at 7,525 aircraft.
