Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage (F-GUYZ) suffered a runway excursion on landing and hit a snow bank at the end of a runway at Courchevel Altiport in France on 8 February 2019.
All five occupants walked away with four suffering minor injuries.
Courchevel Altiport with a short runway of only 537 metres serves a ski resort in the French Alps. There is no go-around procedure for landings at Courchevel, due to the surrounding mountainous terrain.
The runway has no instrument approach procedure or lighting aids, thus making landing in fog and/or low clouds unsafe and almost impossible.
The History Channel program Most Extreme Airports ranks it as the seventh most extreme airport in the world.
No hubo heridos.
