Ethiopian Airlines said to honour the International Women’s Day with the flight from Addis Ababa to Oslo, Norway via Stockholm by all-women team.
On the March 8, 2019, the entire Boeing 787 Dreamliner, flight operations will be handled only by ladies, including pilots, cabin crew, airport operations, flight dispatch, load control, ramp operation, onboard logistics, safety and security, catering, and air traffic control.
Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Tewolde Gebre Mariam said “Although women are Africa’s greatest resource, gender inequality still persists in our continent. Therefore, we all need to ensure that women take their rightful position in all human endeavour by creating the right conditions and through all-inclusive engagement models.”
In 2015, Ethiopian airlines operated using an all-female flight crew for the first time in its 70-year history for a flight from Addis Ababa to Bangkok, Thailand.
