Boeing said to delay the rollout of its new 777-9 following the Ethiopian 737MAX8 crash on March 10, 2019.
“In light of this (Ethiopian accident), we are postponing the 777X external debut on March 13 and the related media events on March 14. We will look for an opportunity to mark the new plane with the world in the near future. There is no change in the plane’s schedule/progress from this announcement. “ Boeing told flightglobal in an email.
Boeing planned to debut 777x on March 13th, but now decided to postpone it to later date.
The 777-9, powered by two GE Aviation GE9X engines is due to enter service in 2020 with Lufthansa.
