Two ladies were detained for tossing coins into an engine while boarding a Lucy Air flight.
The Flight 8L9616 from Jinan in China’s Shandong province to Chengdu in Sichuan was delayed for two hours while crew checked the aircraft engine for the coins.
The flight with 260 passengers was scheduled to depart at 8pm, but eventually took off after 10pm when the coins were found underneath the boarding steps,
This is the third time in two years, Lucky air flights have been grounded for “good luck” coin incident. .
Last month 28 year old man tossed two coins near the port engine of a Lucky Air at Anqing while boarding.
Before in 2017, two coin incidents were reported with the Lucky Air.
“Never thought a 20-something person could be so stupid. What a failure of our nine-year compulsory education!” one user commented on microblogging platform Weibo.
