EgyptAir’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner has successfully completed the maiden flight at Paine Field, Everett.
The aircraft, Reg.SU-GER. powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines will be delivered this month via leasing company AerCap.
The airline signed contracts with airframers in May 2018 at Dubai Airshow to purchase 54 aircraft of different models, in the largest deal in the company’s history estimated at $6 billion. These models include 15 Airbus, 6 Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and 24 CS300 aircraft valued at 2.2 billion.
The airline has scheduled the aircraft, three times a week between Toronto (YYZ) and Cairo (CAI) starting 3 October 2019.
