Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita were asked to disembark from an Emirates flight at Mumbai Airport, to stop him from leaving the country.
The former chief of Jet Airways was on the plane Emirates flight EK 507, travelling to London via Dubai.
The ATC recalled Emirates flight EK 507, after it had already reached the taxiway and preparing for take-off and the couple were asked to disembark.
Jet Airways ceased its operation after it saddled with some $1.2 billion in bank debt.
The MCA, which has been probing the Jet Airways, found several transactions in Jet’s account book to be of “suspicious nature” and recommended to bar both from leaving India.
Fearing that the Goyals might escape the country, the MCA wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) about a month ago to issue an LoC against them.
