Qantas is planning to offer ‘Points plan’ on its Boeing 747 fleet that are in line for retirement in 2020.
The ‘points plan’ will allow passengers to book special flights on 747s using their frequent flyer points.
Qantas was successful in introducing ‘Points plan’ on Airbus A380s in May, which offeres;
first class; 108,000 Qantas Points plus $272 in taxes, fees and carrier changes
business class: 72,000 Qantas Points plus $272
premium economy: 54,000 Qantas Points plus $257
economy: 35,000 Qantas Points plus $182
The Airline plans to extend the similar service on its 747s. I
Qantas began flying the Boeing 747 in 1971, with early models offering 15-seat lounge, fabulous bars, and restaurants.
Qantas scheduled its 747s to be officially retired by the end of 2020, which would coincide with Qantas’s 100th anniversary.
