Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air reported a consolidated profit of D2.4 trillion ($104 million) before taxes.
The company’s revenue including Aircraft trading business rose 24% to D26.3 trillion for the first half of 2019 ended 30 June.
The air transport revenue grew 22% to D20.1 trillion as RPKs rose 22%. Load factor was 88%.
Pre-tax profit from its air transport operations rose 16% to D1.6 trillion.
“During the last six months, Vietjet operated 68,821 flights transporting 13.5 million passengers, equivalent to 45 per cent of total flights operated by all other Vietnamese airline carriers,” it says.
