Virgin Atlantic has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000.
Airline became the second UK airline to take delivery of the Airbus A350-1000, after British Airways which took delivery of its first A350-1000 in July.
“We are the officially the proud owners of our first A350-1000, Red Velvet.” tweet the Virgin Airline.
This is the first of 12 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-powered on order, with deliveries due through to 2021.
Airline said to operate the plane between London Heathrow and New York John F Kennedy, with the inaugural flight scheduled on 10 September.
