“We’ve got the image of Vikram on the lunar surface from our orbiter..” says Indian Space Research Organisation chief K.Sivan.
The lander lost communication just 2.1k.m above the surface on descend for soft landing.
Now the Indian Space Research Organisation said to have found the exact location of the Vikram lander but the communication with the lander has not yet been established.
The lander was located with the help of the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, which remains safe and is revolving around the Moon. The orbiter managed to shoot a thermal image of the Vikram lander.
ISRO will investigate several factors including final emissions and signals to determine what triggered the communication loss with Chandrayaan-2’s lander, Vikram
