Peruvian Airlines has suspended all flights and closed offices until further notice due to a “lack of liquidity”.
Peru’s second-largest carrier posted a statement on its website in Spanish on Friday, saying announcing the cancellation of all flights from Lima until further notice.
Peruvian Airlines underwent financial difficulties and earlier suspended some flights because of being unable to pay fuel bills.
The airline faced liquidity issues immediately after the Peruvian Customs Tax Court froze the airlines’s bank accounts.
The Lima-based carrier was founded in November 2007, and was operating 14 aircraft flying to 10 destinations.
