Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767-300 suffered an uncontained engine failure today 8 Oct, while departing from Diass, Senegal on flight ET908 to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The flight ET908 with 90 passengers onboard suffered right hand engine (PW4062) failure shortly after takeoff from Blaise Diagne International Airport in Senegal.
Engine caught fire and the crew stopped the climb at about 2500 feet, return and made an emergency landing about 8 minutes after takeoff.
Emergency services put the fire out, and the passengers were subsequently disembarked normally via stairs at the left hand doors.
No injuries were reported.
