A China Southern Airbus A320-200, experienced nose gear problem on approach at to Shijiazhuang, and the crew applied emergency brakes on landing.
The flight CZ-6540 from Guangzhou to Shijiazhuang (China) with 143 people on board, landed on Shijiazhuang’s runway, and came to stop in the range of about 10 seconds run.
Passengers reported that were able to smell the burning rubber and nose gear appeared to be bent and damaged when they disembarked onto the runway.
The aircraft was disabled on the runway, the passengers disembarked normally and were bussed to the terminal.
The aircraft was towed off the runway about two hours after landing.
