Israeli carrier El Al opted to finance its first Boeing 787-8 from Boeing, which is scheduled for delivery during November.
The airline states that it has signed a $125 million financing agreement to purchase the first 787-8 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 powerplants.
El Al is scheduled to acquire 16 787s, of which it has received 12 Boeing 787-9s, and yet to receive four 787-8s.
El Al is preparing to launch its 787-8s between its home in Tel Aviv (TLV) to Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Mumbai (BOM), Paris (CDG), San Francisco (SFO) and Toronto (YYZ).
El Al has been introducing the 787s as it phases out its Boeing 767-300ER and 747-400 fleets.
