Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 suffered runway excursion and was destroyed after landing at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (LTFJ), in Turkey.
The flight PC2193 with 177 passengers, from Izmir landed in a thunderstorm and suffered a runway excursion, breaking in three, before coming to rest down an embankment some 20m below runway elevation.
The aircraft touched down at 18:19 and was steering to the left at the end of the runway with the recorded ground speed of 63 knots. Aircraft crossed the road and broke into three before coming to stop down an embarkment.
One passenger reported died and 157 injured in the accident.
