Cathay Pacific Group began to operate cargo-only services on its passenger aircraft, after trimming flights and grounding almost half of its fleet.
Cathay Dragon flew A330 passenger jet on flight KA993 to Beijing and Shanghai carrying cargo in its belly without passengers.
In a notice sent out to its clients, Cathay Cargo group said “Following the temporary suspension of passenger services to Japan, we are currently evaluating how to continue serving our cargo customers to and from Japan. This includes the retention of passenger services for cargo carriage only…”
