Emirates has offered unpaid leave for Pilots and Cabin crew as it has slashed dozens of routes and began grounding A380s.
The Dubai based airline, Emirates, said “You are strongly encouraged to make use of this opportunity to volunteer for additional paid and unpaid leave,” in an email send to its pilots.
Emirates employs over 21,000 cabin crew and 4,000 pilots among more than 103,000 employees overall.
As air travel has come to a stand still, almost all airlines have grounded their aircraft, and began to layoff staff.
Emirates, being the largest operator of A380 with fleet of 115 A380 aircraft has deferred the delivery of its last 8 A380 aircraft.
