AirAsia X posted another deep quarterly losses and announced to further reduce its payroll next month.
The Malaysia based airline reported a net loss of RM305mil in the second quarter ended June 30 compared to a net loss of RM207mil a year ago.
Airline’s fleet remain grounded for more than five months now and only fly limited number of cargo and charter flights.
AirAsia Group founder Tony Fernandes has called the Southeast Asian countries to open their borders, warning that continued travel restrictions could force the airline to lay off even more workers.
