Sri Lanka Bandaranaike International Airport will resume its flight operations from 1st August 2020.
The airport was closed since 11th March due to the adverse COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Chairman AASL Major General G. A. Chandrasiri said that all the operations will be carried out according to newly established procedures and PCR tests will be conducted on all incoming passengers.
They will not be allowed to move into hotels or resorts until the tests confirm that they are not infected.
Government has decided to set up a laboratory with the necessary facilities to conduct these tests in the Airport premises.
