Ethiopian Airlines has taken delivery of two Airbus A350s on the same day – 7 November 2020.
Both the aircraft flew from Toulouse to Addis Ababa on November 7th and landed within minutes of one another.
Two brand new A350-900s left Airbus’ assembly facilities in Toulouse (France) on 7th Nov, at 01:35 and 01:39 on flights ET9201 and ET9203., landed in Ethiopian Airlines’ hub in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) at 10:00 and 10:03 local time.
Aircraft were loaded with humanitarian goods donated by Airbus Foundation and other donors.
The Chief Operating Officer of Ethiopian said, the airline had transported around five tons of humanitarian aid, medical supplies and IT equipment from France to Addis Ababa in partnership with Airbus foundation and other donors from Europe.
The Airline placed an order 10 new Airbus A350-900s in 2017, and the rest 8 aircraft will delivered in coming years.
The two deliveries bring the total number of its Airbus fleet to 16.
