The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the United States has found the wreckage of Transair flight 810 that ditched in the water shortly after takeoff from Honolulu on 2 July 2021.

The Boeing 737-200, of Rhoades Aviation, operating as Transair on flight 810 took off from Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) around 01:30 local time bound for Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG).

The crew faced engine issues about ten minutes after takeoff and decided to turn back to Honolulu. Within 30 minutes on return after takeoff, the aircraft went down onto the ocean.

Both the pilots onboard the cargo flight survived.

The NTSB has found the wreckage of the aircraft in the Pacific Ocean sea bed about 600ft and released the images yesterday.
